decatur hotels Scott Day – CEO / President
Mr. Day has been involved in the hospitality industry for more than 14 years. His rise in the industry came with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts where he worked up the ranks to Director of Accounting in the Four Diamond 692 room Chicago property. He later was Controller for one of FHC Hotel Management Co.'s Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. Over the past 10 years at Decatur Hotels, Mr. Day has been heavily involved in the company's expansion from seven properties to 17 properties. As CFO he centralized each of the daily accounting functions of the hotels. In addition to daily cash flow management and the monthly production of eight financial statements, Mr. Day plays a major role as a company liaison to 11 partnerships, numerous financing institutions and property risk management. In 2008 Mr. Day was promoted to President and CEO of Decatur Hotels.
new orleans lodging Bruce Perone – Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Perone’s experience in the in the hospitality industry comes from an extensive background in food and beverage and a full understanding of hotel operations. Before being named as Decatur Hotel’s Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Perone was the General Manager of the Astor Crowne Plaza. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the New Orleans Hotel & Motel Lodging Association. His familiarity in hotels is a welcoming quality of Perone’s; Decatur is excited to have him as a part of the team.
new orleans hotels Elvis McCoy – Controller
Mr. McCoy moved to New Orleans from Tupelo, Mississippi in 1970. He began his work with the hospitality industry while working for a Civic Center Site Development company that owned and operated a downtown Howard Johnson. Mr. McCoy worked as the assistant controller, controller, then as general manager until 1991 when he moved to Decatur Hotels. Mr. McCoy’s accounting background and hospitality experience is a valuable asset to Decatur Hotels.
french quarter hotels Frank Wilders – Director of Human Resources
Mr. Wilders has been responsible for the Human Resources activities of Decatur Hotels since 2004 and has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, working both domestically and internationally. He studied at the renowned Hotel School Maastricht in The Netherlands and continued his studies in Miami, where he graduated with a Master’s Degree from Florida International University. In 2005 he received his PHR designation from The Society for Human Resource Management.
decatur street hotels Denise Guillet – VP of Transient Sales
Mrs. Guillet comes to Decatur Hotels with background in hospitality that started in 1991 when she was hired as the convention services manager for The Double Tree Hotel in New Orleans. In 1994 she worked as a group sales manager for the North-East market at Hotel Le Meridien and remained a sales manager until 2001 when Mrs. Guillet left the hotel to pursue a career at TurboTrips.com. In 2004 she re-entered the hospitality industry at Decatur Hotels as revenue manager and has since moved up to her current position.
quarter hotels Kenny Truxillo – Director of Sales
Mr. Truxillo has worked in the hospitality since 1985 at several hotels throughout the city in a variety of positions such as guest service manager, front office manager and as a sales manager for Destination Management Company. In 1997 Mr. Truxillo joined the tourism staff at the New Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. His most recent accolade was being named to the Board of Directors for the French Quarter Festival. In 2008 he left his position as a sales manager for Crowne Plaza to work as the director of sales for Decatur Hotels.

hotel rates new orleans Jason Pitard – Director of Marketing & Public Relations
Mr. Pitard began his communications career in New Orleans in 2001 when he worked in event communications for SMG, the managing company for the Louisiana Superdome and New Orleans Arena. His degree in communications was received from Loyola University, where he concentrated on public relations and marketing. Mr. Pitard came to Decatur Hotels in 2005 with knowledge of Internet marketing, graphic design and public relations and is a welcome addition to the Decatur Hotels team.
