Scott Day - President / CEO - Mr. Day has been involved in the hospitality industry for more than 14 years. His rise in the industry came with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts where he worked up the ranks to Director of Accounting in the Four Diamond 692 room Chicago property. He later was Controller for one of FHC Hotel Management Co.'s Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. Over the past 6 years at Decatur Hotels, Mr. Day has been heavily involved in the company's expansion from 7 properties to the current 17 properties now online. The accounting office, at his direction, has centralized all of the daily accounting functions of the hotels. In addition to daily cash flow management and the monthly production of 17 financial statements, Mr. Day plays a major role as a company liaison to 11 partnerships, numerous financing institutions, and property risk management. Mr. Day became involved in all capital improvement projects, contract negotiations, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. In 2008 Mr. Day was promoted to President and CEO of Decatur Hotels.
